Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Java applications and related software components.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, troubleshoot application issues, and support database performance improvements.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to deliver high-quality software using Agile methodologies.
- Support application deployments, production maintenance, technical documentation, and modernization initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Experience | 8+ years of experience in Java application development, SQL databases, Linux environments, and enterprise application support. |
| Technical Skills | 8+ |
| Business / Domain Skills | Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Application Modernization, Requirements Analysis, Team Collaboration, Problem Solving, Technical Documentation |
| Communication | Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders. |
| Documentation | Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables. |
| Work Authorization | Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements. |
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications in Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools, including JIRA, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications or supporting public sector technology projects.
