Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Cost Estimators to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates, budgets, and lifecycle cost analyses using established estimating methodologies.
- Analyze cost data, financial information, and project requirements to support planning, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Prepare cost reports, presentations, and supporting documentation for project teams and stakeholders.
- Support cost management processes, maintain estimation tools and documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Experience | 5+ years of experience in cost estimating, cost analysis, financial analysis, budgeting, or project cost management. |
| Technical Skills | Cost Estimation, Cost Analysis, Activity-Based Costing, Financial Analysis, Cost Modeling, Microsoft Excel, Reporting, Data Analysis |
| Business / Domain Skills | Budget Planning, Financial Forecasting, Project Cost Management, Risk Analysis, Documentation, Stakeholder Communication |
| Communication | Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders. |
| Documentation | Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables. |
| Work Authorization | Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements. |
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lifecycle cost estimation methodologies and parametric cost modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of government or commercial cost estimating standards and financial management practices.
- Strong analytical, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
