Writing Complex SQL Query's using join’s, subquery’s, indexes, and constraints for client adhoc requirements.
DUTIES: Design and develop logical and physical data models to support application requirements and business objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, and project managers, to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database designs. Normalize data structures to ensure data integrity, minimize redundancy, and optimize query performance. Develop and maintain processes to import data from various sources into the database using ETL tools, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Implement data transformation and cleansing routines to standardize and validate incoming data and resolve data quality issues. Schedule and automate data import tasks using tools like IBM DataStage, PL/SQL, or custom procedures to streamline data integration workflows. Monitor data import processes for errors, exceptions, and performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed. Configure database monitoring tools and utilities, such as IBM DB2 Data Server Manager or native database monitoring features, to track database performance metrics and identify potential problems. Monitor database health, resource usage, and query performance to detect anomalies, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies. Analyze query execution plans, index usage, and database statistics to identify opportunities for performance optimization and query tuning. Proactively address performance issues by adjusting database configurations, optimizing SQL queries, writing packages and procedures, indexes, advanced SQL techniques, and fine-tuning database parameters. Develop and document database security policies, standards, and guidelines to mitigate risks, protect sensitive data, and ensure regulatory compliance. Define data validation rules, constraints, and business logic to enforce data integrity constraints, such as referential integrity, entity integrity, and domain integrity. Implement data quality measures and validation checks to identify and prevent data anomalies, errors, or inconsistencies. Perform routine database DBA administration tasks, such as database, tables, indexes, procedure, packages and triggers creation, schema management, and user access control, to ensure the integrity and security of the database environment.
